Piyaali Ghosh Dutta was born in a musical family. Her father, Sri Subir Kr. Ghosh, disciple of renowned Pandit Gyanprakash Ghosh, had first introduced her to the musical path. She was also blessed with her mother’s musical guidance in classical music. Only at the age of 4, Piyaali's gifted magical sense was identified and it resumed her training under her father’s and mother’s care.

Then she went through her learning to achieve skill in different kind of music like Hindustani Raag Sangeet, Nazrulgeeti, Rabindra Sangeet, Hindi/Bengali modern songs etc.

After the completion of her academic career as a science graduate at the University of Calcutta, she took admission in Rabindra Bharati University to pursue Masters in the course of “Bangla Gaan”.

Her love, dedication and madness to music always pushed her ahead to receive distinguished skills under the guidance of Late Subrata Chakraborty, Sri Uday Bandapadhyay, Sri Subhodip Mukherjee, Smt Dalia Routh, Sri Devjit Roy and Sri Prasant ji.

She was crowned with first division with distinction from “Sarbabharatiya Sangeet – o- Sankriti Parisad” in Nazrulgeeti (2002 – 2003).

She also established herself in a new high by winning the “National scholarship" in semi classical music under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi- 110001 in 2006.

She took part in so many different TV music talent hunt shows like “Gaan Sudhu Gaan” in Doordarshan, ‘Sa theke Sa’ and ‘Gaane Mor Indradhanu’ in Etv Bangla, ‘Eto Noy Sudhu Gaan” in tara Bangla, ‘Bhalobashi Taai Gaai’ on Akash Bangla, along with wining of so many state level music competitions.

She achieved the respect of being appointed as a ‘groomer’ of Zee Bangla’s notable popular music Sa Re Ga Ma PA and continued it from 2007 to 2010 (under her Guru’s blessings).

During this time she got the opportunity to work with several distinguished Bollywood and Tollywood musical personalities like Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Santanu Maitra, Jolly Mukherjee, Pritam, Babul Supriyo, Indranil Sen, Bhupinder Singh, Mitali Singh, Sadhna Sargam, Usha Mangeshkar, Usha Uthup, Zubin Garg, Mithoon Sharma along with other notable singers and musicians.

She is a performer in AIR (B grade) against Bangla adhunik and Nazrul Geeti. Also, she is now a regular performer of popular almost all Tv channels like DD Bangla, Rupashi Bangla, Tara Tv, Akash Aath, R-plus News, Channel one and also participated in popular game show Didi No One on Zee Bangla (2019).

Genre: She is a talented and versatile singer. She performs Nazrulgeeti as well as Bengali and Hindi songs of filmy and non filmy.
